Well, friends, here we are again. At the end of another year. How did that happen so quickly? 2015 was quite a year for us – a wedding, a honeymoon, and a new house being among the highlights. In what has become traditional fashion, I thought I would recap the year via Instagram for all of you.
And so, without further ado…
January: We delighted (and I bawled my eyes out) over the birth of my best friend’s first baby, and discovered that Alex holds newborns rather like footballs.
February: We romanced with the best of them over braised oxtail (and Jerry Springer)…
…and my sweet friends threw me the most wonderful, low-key bridal brunch.
March: My sweet coworkers surprised me with the the best sign (there were giraffes on it, you just can’t see them here)…
…and I hit a fitness milestone for myself.
April: Oh, I dunno…WE GOT MARRIED.
(And another one, just because.)
May: Honeymoon time! We spent a week in the city of my heart, Madrid…
…got to visit Real Madrid’s stadium…
…see some amazing flamenco…
…and visit with my host family from when I studied abroad (truly the highlight of the trip for me).
Oh, and I did this to my arm.
June: I discovered the best way to juice key limes. (I also met Giada de Laurentiis, but wasn’t able to get a photo of that. Which begs the question: did it really happen?)
July: Gorged myself on cookies at Momofuku Milk Bar…
…and nursed a sick kitten back to health.
August: Taught the other cat how to read (jokes)…
…and discovered the joy of adult coloring books.
September: Had some amazing food with amazing friends in St. Louis…
…got to see my work in print for the first time…
…and met another sweet baby.
October: Visited Jamaica…
…and took a beach-side yoga class from a dreadlocked Yoga Jones.
November: Celebrated the anniversary of getting engaged by closing on our first house the very same day.
December: Spent some time with the Food52 team at the Nielsen-Massey Holiday Cookie Truck in NYC…
…and started to settle into our new house (and my new kitchen).
Holy cow, what a year! I hope your 2015 was a wild and wonderful, and that 2016 brings even greater happiness your way. See you all next year!
